Malala’s story became worldwide attention when the Taliban banned girls from going to school in her hometown in Pakistan. The right to education is one of the basic children’s rights and human rights. In 2012 when she was just 15, Malala was shot for her outspoken views against the human rights violations in her region. Luckily Malala survived and has become the youngest ever winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. You can read more about Malala’s work and advocacy here.
